Nikos Alexandris
Healing From Invisible Wounds

Age 12, Greece
Nikos struggled silently after witnessing domestic conflict inside his home for several years. Although he rarely spoke about his emotions, the stress began affecting his sleep, concentration, and emotional stability. Teachers noticed increasing anger, emotional withdrawal, and difficulty connecting with classmates.
Without access to proper support, Nikos felt isolated and misunderstood. Many adults viewed his behavior as disciplinary problems rather than emotional distress caused by prolonged exposure to fear and instability.

Healing begins when children are finally understood, not judged.
The Zeus Foundation connected Nikos with trauma informed therapy, behavioral support programs, and youth counseling services focused on emotional regulation and trust building. Through consistent care and therapeutic guidance, he slowly learned how to process emotions in healthier ways and regain a sense of emotional safety.
Today, Nikos is rebuilding confidence, improving socially, and learning that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
