Isabella Cruz & Baby Mateo
A Mother’s Silent Battle

Age 19 & 1 month, Colombia
After giving birth to her son Mateo, Isabella began experiencing severe postpartum depression and emotional exhaustion. What should have been one of the happiest moments of her life quickly became overwhelming feelings of sadness, anxiety, isolation, and fear she could not explain.
She struggled to sleep, lost emotional connection with herself, and felt constant guilt for not feeling like the mother everyone expected her to be. Afraid of judgment and misunderstood by those around her, Isabella suffered in silence while trying to care for her newborn son alone.
Without access to mental health support, her emotional condition worsened, affecting both her well being and her ability to fully bond with her child during the earliest stages of motherhood.

Supporting a mother’s mental health means protecting the future of her child.
